This article on Teamwork in a business organization touches on what the author believes as necessary components to making an organization thrive through teamwork. He shows this through describing what the following essential parts of skills, managerial integration, communication, accountability and diversity in the workplace. All of these ingredients will create a motivated workplace of committed employees that will use teamwork in their day to day tasks.
The author provides case studies which he reviewed the current use of teamwork in the business setting and then a second set of studies that he incorporated his theories including the mixture of communication and diversity. This article thoroughly explained that organizations will thrive if they incorporate the essential parts needed to make teamwork productive in a workplace environment.
I believe this article influenced my view point on teamwork by highlighting some areas that I didn’t focus on in my daily execution of the subject. For example, we all need to be cognizant of others around us and of their backgrounds. In the office we are all different and have various employment and educational history. If we are wise we will all use these aspects of our live to work together rather than work against one another.
