Task Description:



Students will be provided with the opportunity to reflect on the range of challenges and opportunities that they may experience at this stage of their lives. They will develop a CASE Study of themselves, and complete a comparative study using a Television/ Movie/ Book character (either fictional or real), using the underlying themes learnt in the unit.

Outline:

Part A
1. Students will provide a 200-word case study of themselves, describing who they are. 2. Students will then select a Television/ Movie/ Book Character and complete a 200-word character case study of them.

3. Students will develop a character map of themselves and their selected character (with a photo as the centre), indicating a variety of physical, emotional, social, environmental, cognitive and spiritual factors that describe themselves and their selected character. [Part A may be hand-written or typed]

20 Marks

Part B
Students provide a written reflection on the following statement, using examples to support their response:
‘Each person is unique, but there is also a lot that we have in common’. [Part B must be hand-written]

10 Marks

Additional information:
Students should follow the referencing guide on page 15 of the College Diary, and should include a reference list.
Presentation:


Each case study, character map and Part B must clearly detail your name, class and name of additional character selected.
